Anyone see this on Apple's iSync website?

It would be a fairly interesting theme treatment.

Yeah, there was some Kscheme like that.... in fact I think it was a default one. I like it a lot too!

I love the U.S., but we need some time apart.

I think it will look good on alert dialog boxes. With customizable graphite/blue colours of course
In vino veritas.

It would be great if Aqua started to incorporate stuf like this systemwise in 10.3
I mean this kind of special dynamic graphic treatment for titlebars in windows which require special atention, configuration windows and such.

I think it's important, mainly because in OS 9 there WAS an important alert denotation whereas in the current Mac OS there is nothing that separates 'this is a major alert' and 'this is nothing big but we're letting you know'

Go apple if this is a taste of what is to come.

This window is a custom window with all ressources located inside the iSync bundle.

Would be cool if they added this to the extras.rsrc for a system wide warning dialog...

If they intend adding extra stuff like this to the Extras.rsrc they better tidy up the mess of unused and multiple instances first (i.e. why is all the single window stuff still in there, that functionality was removed before the public beta). Any body who has taken a look at that file will know it's a real mess.

I was looking at it and it would look like they would have to reorganize the way windows are drawn to get a window like that.

It's very OS 9 in the way it is rendered. AFAIK there is no resource for a background behind text like shown.

I personally think it would be nice if they added one.

The safeguard window is contained in the Airbag.nib inside of the iSync app bundle.
It's a custom subclass of NSView.

You can easily change it into a normal window by changing its custom class into a normal NSView.

Would be nice if apple released the sourcecode (Or maybe not...)

By the way Custom Class windows are really easy to make, what about an OS9 type:
OS9 Window

Its quite funny how Apple again and again breaks their own rules (even though it looks good)
