What do you think?

Changed the name. It's pronounced eX - O - S - Ten. There will be two versions: Green and Black,

staring at that much green will drive you crazy. no doubt. how about switching around the color priorities? i mean make black the dominant color and green the highlight.

Totally ugly. Man I love green and black. Disgusting. Excellent theme! Hideous even. Don't change a thing. I think I'm gonna be sick. Can't wait to see it released!

Looks really cool - I agree, mostly black with strong green highlights may work better, and be a little less glaring...

Not beautiful, and definitely M$ crap, but very cool, and I think I would use it! Just do it! You can't judge a theme by the opinions in here! These themers all love the grey and blue and white invisi-themes! :-]

I love the U.S., but we need some time apart.

Looks good, but maybe there is too much fluo green, I don't think I will use it but it certainly looks like a well-made theme. I say go for it

why in gods name would anyone want to make a theme for that P O S xbox. xbox will be dead in a year and MS wil rue the day they f'd with Nintnedo, Sega, and Sony.

I guess I'm going to have to make a GameCube theme now to combat this travesty of design.

Looks cool dace! Me and my brother bought an Xbox together recently and I was thinking that it might be cool with such a theme.
My question is just how are you going to make the buttons? They can't be black since you can't have white text. I hope you figure something out. One suggestion - make the menu title select the same black gradient as the buttons and apple menu.
Maybe you should, as decursive said, try and see what the theme looks like "reversed" with green buttons and dark grey backgrounds.

Beautifully done.....looks like everyone objects to the color you might want to offer a white alternative.

Excellent work!

I suggest you go for some aqua style buttons in fluo green, the same glass effect as the standard aqua buttons only a different color ...

oh dear oh dear thats awful, BUT only because the xbox is an awful design in the first place, you've probably made it as nice as it will ever look. Plus looked much better than the official xbox XP theme

I am psyched to see this theme, as I am reading the comments here I realize, many of the big themes I have used are subtle, white, grey, and muted colors. This is gonna look sick witht the right desktop and icons, and I totally agree with kovacs ; "the same glass effect as the standard aqua buttons only a different color .."

The bright glowing green is clearly the hallmark of this theme, tone it down for the window titles, and make it a STRONG highlight elsewhere over black, and try the buttons full-on aquafied glowing green!! Can't wait to try it....

Go ahead! I'd love to see something like that!

I don't like the XBOX theme but I'm sure some people will like it

Not here, this thread is for a theme inspired by the XBOX. PS2 is not really theme inspiring, a black and blue theme? I'll think about it, right now I got XOSX to worry about. I shall be posting some pics soon, I just want to get the widgets done. There will be an aqua and graphite version...I'll modify the General prefpane to display X version ( instead of aqua) and Jewel version (instead of graphite). It looks good with the aqua widgets though.

Black with Green.. NOT Green with Black! Now, go back to your room and do it again or you don't get any supper!

Believe me, I would have loved to make a black with green theme....but you know how it is. Changing font color, among other things, isn't consistent in Mac OS X. So I have to go with a color on which you can see black text and black icons. And I refuse to do a theme with 90% grey so that it looks blackish but just enough to let black text be seen. Also, this way I answer the request of the person who wanted more bright green themes, here's the first

I think you just need to work on smoothing your graphics a bit. It would be great if you could make it as smooth as BBX Mercury X. Other than that I think it's a great idea and you've got a good start.

Maybe you can use the xbox's interface as a guide?
