I desperately want three confirmation blinks back ... Is there any way to do this? (I want to keep Aqua though.)

Crazy guy.
Anyway, no, there isn't really any easy way of doing it, unless you can figure out a way to patch the Menu Manager (doable if you have the skillz and the time, and those tend to be mutually exclusive).
