UPDATED [ SEE BELOW ]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well almost anyway. SEER has yet to be completed, I'm only releasing it to satisfy the few people who await impatiently. Perhaps now that they've had a taste of SEER, they will quickly forget it and I won't ever have to release a final version I'm just kidding, I'll complete it eventually but for now you can provide feedback as to how it's coming along. Hope it meets expectations. Make sure to read the Read Me file first. And your donations might encourage me to finish it faster

Not too likely we'll forget it after using it. Just downloaded it now and will install in a bit, which theme program is best at this stage? Themechanger or Duality?

You also beat me to the answer I can only get it to work with Duality. I'm using Duality MS2.

They are now available at the same link as the theme.

Dace this thing is BEAUTIFUL for an Alpha. I swear I am sticking to you like glue until this thing is done. LOL It's GREAT, only theme other than Cole-F that I've used and haven't given a single thought to removing.
The title bar, widgets, menubar are all just perfect. Only request, can you make the scroll bar a bit darker, a bit more pronounced?
Thanks again, GREAT theme so far.

AAAHHH!!! Not the the scrollbars!!! ...too many scrollbar resources to change...can't do it.......will self -destruct in T minus 5 seconds
Shouldn't take long to darken them...will consider it. For now I'll concentrate on finishing it. Glad you like it derekn, it raises the morale.

Darken! Darken! Darken! LOL
I mean it's great the way it is now, it's a bit difficult to discern it from the background though. Let me use it for a bit, odds are I'll get used to it and it won't be a problem. LOL
I was a little worried the windows would be white white like Aqua but the grey that is being used now is PERFECT.

ThemeChanger says something about not being able to parse the main.themescript and therefore doesn't load it. I guess I could release a ".theme" version. I also noticed ThemeChanger doesn't support ".rsrc' themes.

If you lose the '<' and '>' from the email address in the themescript, it'll work with ThemeChanger.

".rsrc" isn't a theme format, at least as far as I know. If people just used to distribute modified Extras.rsrc as a theme, then, well, I haven't seen it. If I haven't seen it, I can't implement it.
As smeger said, it works in ThemeChanger if you remove your < > from the description tag. ThemeChanger treats < and > as markers and gets confused if you start putting them at arbitrary points around the file. If you have any problems in future with getting your themes to work in TC, please e-mail me. You'll probably find I'm quite helpful if you actually bother to contact me.

Woh, I sense hostility. It works in Duality...so that's why I didn't bother contacting you. I figure you would eventually notice my problem and kindly help me out, like smeger did. TC also has problems with SS Simplex (one of them, not all); Duality had no problems with my theme. Sometimes I find you guys are like the "gestapo" when it comes to TC, chill out a little...no one's attacking you. and TC is not the end all, be all.
In the beginning there use to be .rsrc themes. When I'm creating themes I only use the .rsrc to switch back and forth...so I find it convenient, as oppose to having to right away create a main.themescript. It was a suggestion, not an attack. MetamorphX accepts .rsrc as well as Duality. I remember Zimphire releasing his Simple Aqua theme as a .rsrc .

I think it'd make sense to support people who use TC too.
TC also has problems with SS Simplex (one of them, not all);
Works fine here. What exactly do you mean by "has problems"?
In the beginning there use to be .rsrc themes.
Ah, so they're old and deprecated?
When I'm creating themes I only use the .rsrc to switch back and forth...so I find it convenient, as oppose to having to right away create a main.themescript.
Most theme developers seem to just copy the files around manually, which makes sense. Of course, I personally would just make it to that I could write directly to Extras.rsrc from ThemeShop, I think that'd be easiest, but hey, it's up to you.
It was a suggestion, not an attack.
Sounded more like a complaint to me.
MetamorphX accepts .rsrc as well as Duality.
MetamorphX hasn't been updated in a loong time, which makes it sound like they are indeed old and deprecated. I don't think I'll add support for them because there is no meta data. I see your point about theme development, but if I were you I'd edit the files in place, since that negates the need to launch a third party app in the first place. Feel free to do as you please

Hey Dace,
Since I'm the one who kinda' started this with the "Where's the Seer theme?" post, all I can say is, all you themers are like tapest monks. The amount of work is killer. Having tried my hand at themeing I have a lot of respect for what you all do.
Seer looks Absof*ckinlutely Great. Sweet.
Thanks for the pre-release. I hope you find the time to finish it off.

For those who don't read every day the forums... What matters are closed and resolved ??
Does it have anything to do with Theme changer ? This Seer theme looks cool but I'm using Theme changer now and U want to know why... Because it's the only changer that allows me not to install icons from Themes. I like the way my icons are (Snow 2) (Who wouldn't) and it's more than annoying and nerve racking to have a theme change my icons so I like the choice that Theme changer gives me not to install them.
Anyway...
Dace... would it B that hard (as described above) to make it Theme changer compatible ?
Or should I just forget about it?
;-)
edit: Hey Angus, I just re read your post.. so how and where do I get < and > out ?

edit: Hey Angus, I just re read your post.. so how and where do I get < and > out ?
I guess I should've mentioned it is now ThemeChanger compatible. It was a simple problem like described above. And SEER at the moment has no icons. Duality is suppose to fix the "do not install icons" problem with iconsets. When a theme has the systemicons.rsrc built into it, I select the Aqua Iconset I created...therefore, over-writing the theme's icons. And you can create an iconset of the Snow.E icons you have installed...simply take a copy of your Systemicons.rsrc and rename it "SnowE.iconset" ...and there you go, a Snow.E iconset that overwrites themes' icons when using Duality. So as you see, Duality also gives you the option of not installing icons...just that not many have used this feature (mostly just Max). Duality's Advanced options are suppose to let you decide what to install , just like TC...but I've haven't used them nor do I know their exact functionality since I use MS2 which is better than MS3 (go figure).
As for the "matter"...it was regarding TC, it was closed so as to not clutter this thread with unrelated issues.

Nice work Dace on the update. In another thread you said you had not gotten any feedback on SEER.
Well here is my two cents.
1.) Really nice work. The last update gives it a finished feel.
2.) It would be nice if there where system icons. The boot screen is cool, as well as login in screen.
3.)The only issue I've seen so far is the empty
trash dialog background. Trash dialog example.
4.)Do you plan to treat the UI for the iApps as well? The screens you had posted looked great. Would love to see it.
5. Graphite variation is cool.
Thanks for your hard work.

Sorry for the delay Dace, I wanted to use SEER a bit before I wrote in about it. I never used Aluminite before this so I'm not sure what parts are part of it and which have been redone.
So far it's been perfect though, Word, Photoshop, except for that Empty trash thing it's perfect.
I LOVE this theme!

Hey Dace, found a little glitch visually. It's like the empty trash dialog one, this one occurs in iTunes when getting info on an MP3 from the playlist. Viewing any of the tabs has that same glitch around the text.
There's another with the scroll bars (again LOL) in mpgtx when working with multiple files (to join for example). The scrollbar is kind of a mutation of SEER and Aqua. Wasn't sure though if that was SEER or Mptgx.
Other than that it's been great! I ran Aquafix before upgrading to 10.2.4 and then put SEER back on, no problems.
Thanks again.

Darn, people still remember this theme I noticed Resexcellence posted it on their site even though I never sent it to them They even critisized me for using caps too much. WHEN do I EVER use CAPS I don't know what they're talking about I'm glad you're loving this theme so much, it warms my heart that all my hard efforts made someone happy. I'm not sure about the scroll bar; I think I've themed all those pesky, annoying scroll bar resources. Lately I haven't been working on the theme at all...burned out probably. I've even stopped using themes all together...like Zimphire, I'm tired of fighting Aqua due to all the inconsistencies it brings. For now, I'll stick with striped Aqua along with Max's Jaguar complete modifications (thanks Max).
I think if I use Aqua's striped patterns as a template, I might be able to correct the problem you speak of. I'll do that, and upload it along with my Grey Jaguar and Charcoal themes before my free .Mac trial account expires...which should be early march.

You use CAPS? I never noticed. Might be better that ResEx posted it, get's the word out to a wider audience and they host the files on their server. So it might be handy when the trial account expires.
And yes I love this theme. LOL I'd use Aqua but it's just not quite exactly "right" and is a bit too bright and white. As it is right now SEER is pretty much perfect and feels complete, the most essential stuff seems to be done. Thanks for dedicating the time you have put into it.
