Hi.. Is there any way to change the highlight color that is visible in some apps, for example around text boxes, tabs and other widgets? There is one picture in the Extras.rsrc that is used for highlighting text boxes, but that is only used around some text boxes, depending on what application is used.
Here's a picture with some instances of the effect:
I hope some of the themers around here knows the solution
Thanks in advance.

I think the solution lies in the "SystemUI" file....but I'm not sure.

I'm guessing pxm# 2324 - 2326 in Extras.rsrc aren't actually used anymore...?

It seems to be a Carbon/Cocoa thing. The Cocoa apps will always have the blue glow, the Carbon apps can have it removed by editing the resources mentioned above.

I don't think the blue glow is editable. While I was developing the grey version of the Watercolour theme, I searched and couldn't find it anywhere.

I am pretty sure that it's hard-coded into CoreGraphics. Not totally positive, though.

Well, for alot of the iApps its 4 tiff images that you need to modify, very easy. And there is also some in the extras.rsrc i belive, I see the high light color all over, but it seems alot of apps use there own tiffs to duplicate the effect. Hope that helps alittle
