TuXedo is now complete. I wanted to get one more original theme released before I began the updates to the others which includes Safari packages and numerous other extensions of the themes... So, here it is. Give it a shot and hit me with some feedback for possible updates/bugs.
Screenie:
Obtained here:
http://swizcore.com/SS/macOSX.php
...BTW, might I just add that I think this theme looks killer with Max's Milk desktop picture. (Nice work Max).

Feels a bit too incoherent here for me, the mix of rounded and rectangular shapes and the mix of translucent and opaque widgets is a bit unbalanced for my taste.
On the other hand the rounded widgets are really crisp and clean. What about a theme based on these alone?

The translucent widgets are the inactive states.
Please actually try it before giving feedback on a screenshot.

I'll keep that in mind with my updates n8x. They are just in place to help as an emphasis. New solutions are always considered of course, and I'll keep thinking.

oh no, actually i like the little emphasis glows a lot, i was thinking more of the saturation of the backround tiling of metal apps and inactive menu bars.
then again, i could stop complaining like a lazy @hole and make do that part myself. lol

Swiz-- You like rock and stuff... I love this theme.
Thanks for this theme and all the others--My favorites have to be the ChosenOSs and Tux. You guys rule.

The only problem I have with it so far is my clock is still black text... How did you get it white in this pic: http://swizcore.com/SS/images/picvie...do_Desktop.jpg Other than that I love the black menu bar with white text. Safari looks a bit strange too, but I can live with that until you get some skins out. Oh and the inactive menu text is almost totally unreadable.
I'll use it for a bit and get back to you on anything els.

I like the new theme. Its good to see some dark themes popping up instead of the usual variations. It really does look fantastic with the Milk desktop from Max.
Your ChosenOS theme is still my favorite though
Can't wait for its update!

I suggest using PTH Clock, it allows you to apply whatever color you want to the menubar clock. Whats even nicer is that when you mouse up to the time the date automatically pops up just under the time. Very nice.
Im working on your other issues for the first enhancement.
Thanks for the feedback Network and thanks Swarmy.

Just a tip for inactive menu text. I'm sure Swiz has changed it, but if you have changed your font smoothing style, the inactive items ignore the theme settings. To fix it, change your font smoothing style to standard and relaunch your apps.
Judging from screenshots I think the theme looks good. I will try it as soon as I can.

I certainly don't want to hijack this thread to talk about another theme, but for the Chosen theme, is there anyway that we can get a blue/grey variation like the one that had been ported to Windowblinds?

Hmm...
Although I like the theme, I'm still not sure I'd be able to use it on a permanent basis.
Here's my screenshot, but some apps don't like the dark background and it makes text difficult to read, so I'm probably going to change back to Chosen.

The TuXedo Safari Skin is now available for use with Safaricon.
Screenie:
I have also tweaked the theme file a bit for the brushed appearance and one oversight (combo drop down button) in Aqua.
Get the Safari Skin here:

One question...
When I was using the original version earlier the status text, and my bookmarks bar text was unreadable.
Is there anything I can do to rectify this?
Will silk change the font colours?

Good question, I'll look into the Silk option but it seems that Safari is an animal all its own. Im always searching for those fixes though.
One thing you'll notice though Adam, if you redownoad the theme, I switched the brushed texture to the lighter pinstripe pattern which is visible in the screenie above than the first release. The widgets are refined too for brushed apps.

Do you still have the aplha version, as I've just tried to download it again, but it's not on the site.
Perhaps the final release is on it's way!! Or maybe not.

The Safari skin is a nice, totally needed too!
I switched back to Chosen though, . I wouldn't say that if it weren't your work, so its a compliment of sorts.

Great job, I'm really enjoying this theme! And I don't use just any themes, I'm very picky being a graphic designer my self. Tweak it here and there and it should be just right. Oh and make more dark themes! I love dark themes, and there aren't enough.
