Anyone know if i can make the launch bar at the top of the screen transparent? i have seen it do it by itself while shutting down (not sure if it does it every time) and so i was wondering the way to do this?
Thanks

PS was this the correct forum to ask this in?

Well, the menu bar at the top does not goes transparent except if the theme has some transparent images for it (which none do I believe)

the only reason it does that at shutdown and restart times is because the system does not want to fool around with it anymore, and it is saying "I am going bye-bye, we are done, no more menu bar or mouse cursor."

So, i guess the final answer is, not really

This question seems to come up periodically, and as far as I know, nobody has ever figured out a straight-up "yes" answer. You can take a shot at creating your own theme using the instructions here. You'll probably want to edit pxm# resources that have "root menu" in their name (you can use the filter in the toolbar to find these).

Good luck!
