I did up a little itunes display / dateTime widget based on some wallpaper I've seen. See the screen-cap. It's actually just the semitransparent rectangle in the lower left-hand corner, the point being that it will look cool and be functional in front of any wallpaper you like
Anyone interested in this? Any design suggestions? Feature requests?

I like it.
I just don't like konfabulator. I think it really taxes performance.

I like it! Might even redownload Konfabulator just for it!

Maybe it wasn't totally clear from my initial post -- the wallpaper isn't the widget. The widget is a little semi-transparent square designed to fit seamlessly (more or less) with whatever wallpaper you happen to have. It's about 300px by 100px.

I'd agree with you on Konfabulator 1.0... but since I've gotten 1.0.2 he's fixed a lot of the memory leaks and optimized a lot of code. It's really a lot better.

Whatever happened to that one Konfabulator widget that combined a bunch of others? It was in the desktop thread I think.

It's cool. If you can see it on dark backgrounds it's even better. I'm still not sure if I want to buy Konfabulator though...

Yes, I like semi-transparent. And I also REALLY like that you included the RATINGS for the song! Terrific. Let us know when it's ready. I'll use it for sure!

Looks really good. What would be really sweet is that when the track changes, the window becomes the topmost window for a few seconds, then fades away back to desktop level.

Okay, thanks for the comments. I've posted it here:
http://phoyt.macbox.com/software/Mod...%20display.dmg
I was trying to weed out a few bugs and unify the look of it. I added preferences to adjust the transparency of the background and the position of the window (always on top, always on the bottom, or normal).
fireside, I don't plan to add controls to it but feel free to customize it yourself if you like. ShotgunEd, I like the idea of making the widget jump to the foreground when the track changes, that'll be the next release if I ever get around to it.

I just updated it again. See the link in my comment above. I fixed a bug that was causing iTunes to start itself every time you quit.
Also I added a preference that will let the widget jump to the foreground and turn opaque every time the track changes. While this really handy, it looks a bit weird I think. I'd like it better if it faded in a bit...
Feedback is appreciated.
