After what seems like a million and a half years, I'm proud to announce QNX for OS X.
There are 8 Variations to this theme, Default (blue), Graphite, Snow, Copper, Plum, Maroon, Sage, and Teal... all of which are real QNX color variations.
Here are previews of all 8 colors.
Go ahead and grab the Theme here .
If you're having problems, Max should have the theme up on his site shortly.
Have Fun and send in feedback if you find something out of place.

I can offer the DTLA but it's 35MB. If you want it, I'll be glad to send it to you.

Mac Guru, I am, from this moment until the end of the universe, your biggest fanboy. You have no f'ing idea. Not only have I wanted this theme since before I knew it existed, but your implementation is just so God Damn hot!!!
I apologize for all the profanity, but seriously, OMFG!!!
I just read that this was an effort between you and Max, so I'll refrain from saying that you've ousted Max from his throne, which I was about to say. Oops. I said it didn't I? I take it back, since it's not true.
Freeking phenomenal job guys.
*returns to comatose state in which he not-so-patiently awaits QNX, er, uh, X
PS. I'm really getting tired of bashing Colin, but there is no way I'm trusting Duality on my system if I don't have to. Please, if it's not too much trouble, post a link to the .dlta as well when you release this.

agree...i'm on broadband, so 35MB isnt that big of a deal. i rather spend a little longer downloading it than dealing with duality.

Ok, here's the deal, I will post the .dmg AND the DTLA, The .dmg contains all the extra stuff, readme's and icons etc.
I encourage all of you to d/l the .dmg if not just to look at it, since I put a lot of work into it. BUT, the DTLA will only be up for 24 hours due to bandwidth from my site.
After that it'll only be available via personal requests via email or AIM.
Thanks for the enthusiasm mike n friends!

Maybe you might be able to release DTLA themes as individual colors only....
Makes them a more reasonable 5 or so MB a piece.
D4GT kinda scares me.... duality has never worked for me.
And this theme is WAY too slick to be hampered by a scheme format.

My thought was to possibly, eventually release these in individual themes by color.
My only hinderance is, I don't have a theme section on my website and until there's really a 'theme repository' I have no way to reliably distribute these unless Max wishes to do so from his site.
I'll keep you posted.
In the mean time, email the ThemeChanger guys and get them to work with Colin and get xscheme there too, save me a lot of work

yes, we definatlly need a site to put all the themes on. i could probably host it on my site, but i dont know any html or anything. if anybody is nice enough to put out a nice and easy html, php, java, whatever template or something, i could probably host all the themes.

Ok MAJOR update...
I've done some tinkering and the .dmg I will release tomorrow will NOT have an xscheme theme file on it. While the DTLA is 34.6 MB the .dmg is only 6.4MB when compressed.
So good news for all those non-duality people out there... You got your DTLA.

I will host QNX on my site. MacGuru will post links very soon.
The colaborative effort was that MacGuru sent me mockups of QNX and I assembled the theme for him.

Dod damn, I think he f*cking likes it
I also like it a lot, very nice... very complete, high quality icons and amazing wallpapers...
BTW what is QNX, is it a GUI for some kind of linux variation ? A windows theme ?

QNX is way cool. I tested it with Duality 4 GT and it worked flawlessly. Good Job!
The only thing I had to do was to remove Safari's metal appearance with Safari Optimizer, because the theme wasn't working with it.
And iTunes still has the aqua buttons and metal. My guess is Apple hardcoded that stuff so that nobody can change it.

Its an actual OS that is mainly for embedded systems. The Amiga OS and QNX did a merger for bringing into more a desktop light but it never did fly to well or was stuck in limbo. This OS is small and compact enough to run off a floppy I've heard. More info is here and it is free as well.
QNX
Damn I was halfway done with created a QNX theme also, took days to even get that far. Oh well, guess I'll scrap that sucker. LOL

DOH! BUG!
Looks like all versions have sage progress bars (pxm #2264 and others)
Also, small tabs would probably be better with either less of an angle or totally straight.
Otherwise.... Fabulous. A wonderful neutral workspace!
Hey, maybe a Latte (light coffee) colored version? Maybe i can hack that one on my own

Yes, this is the standard progress bar color in QNX no matter what color theme you choose. I may decide at a later point and an update to make them colored like the theme.
As for the small Tabs, I'll probably make them straigh on the right side sometime when I update the theme.
Oh, and Light Coffee wasn't a color choice due to the color not being in QNX but it's a possibility...

wow. nice. it's my new theme on the icebook. Maybe more feedback when clicking on the round buttons (there's currently a minor shadow around the button when it's clicked) like a color change or perhaps to invert the concavity...
either way it's sweet.

I'm digging this theme pretty hard - my only requests for a future version are adding the accent colors to the scroll thumbs and the progress bars.
I came across a bit of Aqua today, though. These pictures are both from Project Builder. One is E/W Tabs and I don't know what the other is:

Does anyone know where these graphics are stored? I'd be happy to make a patch to completely QNXisize Project Builder if only I could find these graphics. Setting the accent color to graphite helps a bit. Which brings me to the only bug I've found in QNX thus far. The Finder toolbar path popup does't have a custom pressed state for graphite. It just uses the aqua version.
Oh and I almost forgot:

Although I think the progress bars would be better looking if they matched the theme accent color, I think the scrollbars and all the other grey controls are perfect the way they are.

This is the NUMBER ONE thing that ticks me off about Apple's UI. We have the ability to theme and yet they use non-standard UI elements in most of thier apps.
Basically forcing us to patch and patch and patch.
GRRRRRRRR.

Those are just the small EW tabs and small tab pane bar from Extras.rsrc; not Project Builder specific elements.

I skipped the Eeast and West tabs, because they are so rarely used.
I've done that with many of my themes. The only place they are used is probably DragThing, and there you can choose not to use them anyway.
But those Project Builder pictures look like they are from the app, because they are still in 10.0 aqua style and the ones in the themes are 10.2 style. And I'm positive that I replaced all the Tab Pane Bars so that is definetly a app specific resource.

Thanks a TON for all the positive feedback guys! If I would have known a year ago how well this theme was going to be accepted I would have had the motivation to finish.
UPDATE!!!
QNX 1.1 is now here
Minor UI tweaks.
• Document Titlebar was 1 pixel too tall in 1.0 so a peice was getting cut off. FIXED
• New small square tabs per request.
Same link as above.

Nice theme. And the variety is great. My only complaint is that it's not based on the earlier QNX, version 2 I think it was, the one that had the curves in the title bar (sort of like the old OS X theme Cole-F). I don't know but there is something it that I like more than the current incarnation of the interface in Neutrino.
The other theme with the two colored title bar that had a curved separation between them was underling. Anyone know what happened to that theme?

One strange thing I did notice though. I am using the latest version of Duality and when I tried to switch to the QNX theme it changed the theme but then presented a dialog saying that it could not use the theme. It appears to have changed OK though.
