hey all, i'm new to mac os X and i've been switching some of my icons around without too much difficulty. but for some reason i can only change application ones once. i just tried and was able to switch the iPhoto icon from the standard one to one of my choosing, but was not able to switch it to something else. do i have to reboot or am i just stuck with not being able to switch icons more than once? :-/

Sometimes you need to log out & log back on to see the changes. It happens pretty rarely, but I noticed it a few times.

That happens everytime for me... When an item has not his original/default icon... I hope Apple will fix that... I'm sure they'll do.

What I do... is just change them (even if i don't see the change immediately) and I'll see them when I'll restart... heheh

or, you can copy the app to another location, and the new icon will paste fine, and then copy it back, replacing the old one.
works for me.
