Anyone know where I can get a Mac OS 6 Extras.rsrc. If there is such a thing. LOL. I wanna use Themefur and make it a 10.3 Theme. Thanks.

You may or may not be aware of the following things:
1. System 6 didn't use the Extras.rsrc file for GUI widgets.
2. ThemeFur is not yet qualified for Mac OS X 10.3.
</tongue in cheek>
3. Someone made a System 7 theme for Mac OS X, but I don't think there is a System 6 one. I'm sure you could adopt it, not sure where to get it though.

LOL. System 6.
There are quite a few things that will prevent the theme from looking perfect.
1. No Menu border as well as no window border, thus no thin black line.
2. No known way of making caps for titlebars to go on the sides of the title. So there's no way to end the "pinstripes" in the right place to surround the text.
3. Elements are bigger. The menubar and Titlebars are thicker than in 6 and 7 and 8 and 9.
4. Fonts will throw it of, what with the antialiasing and such.
5. Etc...
Many problems. It will not look good. Especially without the title caps.

if you REALLY want a system 6 or 7 theme you could download the kaliedoscope schemes of them (I know they exist), install it on your classic system and take screenshots to build off of....
but Jasoco was right when saying it you never look quite right.

Why not just take shots of 6 on a real system. Wait.. did 6 have the SS feature? In that case, try vMac.
But it still won't work right at all unfortunately. Too many differences in the theming engine. Older OSes had more break points where imagry could be put. OS X was built for one Theme. Aqua. So trying to make other Themes to replace it are limited to what the developers had in mind. Just have to wait for Apple to give in, or live with the limitations.

It would be so cool if a good port of the OS6 interface was releades. I'd love to gave that plain simple look on Mac OS X sometimes.

Hey, it would be cool to have a system 6 GUI. Go for it. The Kaleidoscope idea sounds good.

It won't look good at all with the limitations we have. No lines at the top of the windows.
No border around the windows. (Aside from the Jaguar shadow line that gets put there by default.)
Everything out of proportion.
Try if you want, it just won't be good enough.

Oh man! Yeah, I can see how that could be a minimalist theme. But maybe with SOME color. I dunno. Quicksilver - what I use most - is pretty minimalist already without too much color.

I'd rather have it adapted to fit the Mac OS X interface specifications than to have it modified in terms of color and form.
Anyway, i just hope one of the theme masters around here somehow port this theme.

I like it for the nostalgic factor. But I would want it to remain 100% original. It would take far too much work to make this look more modern, it would become a totally new theme.
