I like smoothstripes 2.7 but I really just want the standard Aqua interface but with recessed buttons (which look cool). Is this possible?

I had the same thought and made an edit of smoothstripes recessed buttons into extreme aqua also added recessed apple in the menu. looks smooth.

I tried making a mockup of recessed aqua elements a while ago, and it does not look good. I've had enough of the aqua variations anyway.

Ok, after scouring this message board I realized I can do it myself. I took AquaExtreme and pasted the SmoothStripes data into it using ThemePark. Looks great! Also found the iTunes 3 recessed button thingy and installed the .rsrc to iTunes now looks great. Thanks.

Ahh ok, I misunderstood. I thought you ment system wide recessed aqua elements.

Well, I'm not sure I want to make Aqua Extreme as extensive as SmoothStripes is, but I might add the sunken buttons as an option.
