That is a PPAT that is showing up. Go through your PPATS and see which one has the wrong color and then change it.

Has anyone every figured out what every ppat does? Or why there are so many? Or why the whole Extras.rsrc is such a mess? Is everything 'under the hood' of an Apple as crazy-messed-up as the theme stuff?

I love the U.S., but we need some time apart.

no you can't replace them all at once. and all mine are the same color so if someone could maybe figure out which one is the tabbed window ppat then that would be stupendous!

THe PPATS is a big mess if you ask me. They are used different from app to app. Although Swiz figured out which one that is used for background in Tab Panes so that he could make his blue Tab Panes in SimpleX.
The reason that the Extras.rsrc is a mess is because Apple does not delete unused resources in it.
Mike - Can you take a snap of the whole AppearanceSample window?
Maybe all your PPATS are the wrong color. If so, try making new ones and Index the colors before pasting them - that way there will be as few colors as possible used for them.

Mike, I had the same problem with my theme. I think that problem only occurs in the preview app. It occurs with mine because I have the tab area and toolbox area a different background color than everything else. I can't tell if your tab area is a different color, but your toolbox area definately is different. Check your theme out in a different app...specifically Photoshop's "Save for web" or color picker dialog boxes. They've got their PPATs all messed up in there. If it looks right, you're probably fine.

Ok, Mike, Now I see what the problem is.
Since you have a different color for your Tab Panes, you also need to fill the PPATs 2063, 2064 and 2081 with the same color.
When you've done that, the problem should go away.
And don't be fooled by ThemeCheckerX - It's in fact a Tab pane, although it has no tabs.

I see we've hit a few snags with DarkGlass finaly. I can't wait to see it with the matching tabs.

That's the "secondary group box fill". Be sure to also change the "secondary group box fill inactive".
This information will be included in the next themepark release, so don't worry.
