I'm looking to add a desktop icon to my Finder Toolbar. When I got to "Customize Toolbar", there is no option for dragging the desktop icon. Is there a way to do it?

Open your Home folder in the finder (/Users/YourUserName), and drag the actual Desktop folder to the toolbar. That should do it.
Gracias. That did it. I had tried that before, but wasn't patient enough for Finder to realize that I was only trying to add a shortcut (not move the Desktop to one of the folders which already has a shortcut).
