Hey all,

I am trying to find the DXB theme by Butt O'Sigh. I found his site on desktopper.net, but his page seems to be down. I have an older version of DXB (pre jaguar) and I am afraid it might screw my system up. Does anyone have a newer version? or know where I can get a newer version?

There is a copy at resexcellence.com that is 10.2 compatible... should work just fine IMO

This is one of my favorite themes. I'm always surprised that this guy gets away with what he does: for those not in the know, his DXB scheme replicates an old Apple-designed theme called Drawing Board, just as his Tequa replicates Apple's Hi-Tech theme. (Thankfully, he's apparently not insane enough to try a version of Gizmo!) These were not meant for wide release, and Apple cease-and-desisted most people who made them (or Kaleidoscope derivations of them) available. Hell, Butt O'Sigh even served up Aqua Kaleidoscope themes (back when such things were in vogue) without apparent reprisal from Apple.

Anyway. One neat thing I found with DXB: after you install it, look for the file called Aqua Blue.jpg in the DXB folder. Try it as your desktop; it's perfect.

Yeah, I know its a port of drawingboard. One of the reasons I like this theme is that it's the only non-tech theme out there. Back in the days of K2 you could find schemes with textures of paper, wood, rock, whatever. Now the theme selection is so small... that's one of the reasons I've been looking at windowblinds4 with much interest. But I'm stuck with OSX for now.

Huh? I was just hunting this theme down and saw the link at Resexcellence earlier. The only problem is that it links to a webpage that's now defunct. I don't know what happened between a couple days ago and now.

Any other sources?
