I want to customize OSX but there's so many different tools to do so. Post your favorite app, what it does, and why it's better than others that do the same thing (if you want).

I look forward to responses!

Candybar - Changes system icons. Best because it replaces "Get Info" boxes which would normally take a long time. Also supports themes. Awesome app.

Besides Candybar, ClearDock because you can make your dock blend in beautifully with your wallpaper, or make it stand right out with the touch of a button. Plus, its free!

Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast!

In order to "get rid of the lines" you'll need to run a new theme, since Apple's Aqua is the default theme. These are the things you'll need:
1) ThemeChanger - to change the theme

2) Themes, like Max Rudberg's or here for more selection

3) CandyBar - changes the icons

4) Rad-E8's SNOW E.2 icons

Have fun.
