I toyed around with it yesterday, and decided that I didn't want to use it. So I followed all the instructions for deleting, but still have its stupid icon in my System Preferences.
Any ideas how to get it out? I even tried reinstalling it, and unistalling it a second time. I've logged out, restart. I've even hunted down files that it install that aren't even listed. All to no avail.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you looked in Library>PreferencePanes?

Believe me, I've looked everywhere. There's nothing I can find that should be causing it to still be there. But for some reason, it still is.

Well SystemPreferences.app cannot load a bundle that does not exist - the best advice I can give you is to search your disk for file whose file name contains ".prefpane".

I think something similar happened to me. I don't recall what I did...I logged in as Root, launched Sys Prefs and noticed it was gone, logged into my account and Sys Prefs no longer displayed the non existing icon. Don't know what the cause or cure were, but it worked.

I think that you should just do a clean reinstallation of OS X. This obviously means OS X has been corrupted.

Ok. I finally found it. The file was ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.preferencepanes.cache. Once I deleted that and re-opened System Preferences, SkinADock was no longer listed.
