I've read here and in other forums that themers were working on a fix for theming on the new OS X only machines. Has anyone figured out what the problem was and a fix? I sure would like to be able to put a theme on this beast. I am guessing that we dont hear any news about it because not many have the newer macs. . That stinks. Can anyone help?

I think the fix was only for the themes that modified the BootX file. I think any theme that doesn't modify it should work on the 2003 macs.

Ya that's what I heard, most of the themes have that removed now so it isn't a problem anymore.

This is correct, although loginwindow.app is a larger file size on the OSX only Macs.

Well, thanks for the info, but it still doesnt work. Maybe I just have a mac that will not work with themes. I've tried a few of the new themes (without the BootX file) and I still get the question mark folder on startup. Oh well.

fetopher, you really need iCurves for those Powerbooks. They'll bring those portable babies up to a similar eye level as that Cinema display.

RedStar, unless I miss my guess, he's a graphics artist or a video engineer. Those don't seem to be "toys" as much as they are a serious part of his work. Of course, I could be wrong...

I actually do have an iCurve. It was perfect for the 15", but seems to big for the 12 and too small for the 17. I am a book publisher. So, graphic artist wasnt too far off.
