First, the apple icon looks kinda bad, green buttons should be a greener green I think like the widgets, and the menu highlights need some work in consistency. However, it looks pretty cool. Kind of XBoxy. I've never used shake, I had no idea it looked like this.

I can't believe I am going to be the first to say that this theme looks awesome.

"This theme looks awesome"

You
can

quote

me

on

that.

However, you should consider doing something different with the titlebars (the title text will be black in Cocoa apps no matter what you do).
"Think Different. Like The Rest Of Us."

Very neat! I fear though that, as macmike pointed out, the titlebars will have to be different, and that might ruin the green widgets...

Why is the slider blue? Seems kind of out of place...

atleast when you're trying to make fun of someone for poor grammer/spelling, do yourself a favor and make sure you have perfect grammer/spelling.

Personally, I think this theme would rock, though I would rather see that blue replace the didget color...maybe in the graphite section?

Another note:
1. The title bar is a bit dark for text purposes.
2. The apple widget looks kinda poopy. Change is good.

Yeah, I agree.... the cool redioactive green should be made "Aqua" blue, and the charoal grey should be made a lite grey or silver or even white. This world needs more blue and dove grey themes. We just don't have enough.... in fact there will NEVER be enough! All superfreakyfunkycool themes should be converted into light blue and gray as soon as possible... hopefully by the time Panther comes out anyway.

I love the U.S., but we need some time apart.

id change the green to perhaps a blue or something original like a purple haha or maybe just black, the whole black/green thing makes me think xbox then i scream myself to sleep thinking about how badly the xbox is designed when ishould be screaming about how nice the theme looks, which it does apart from the greens, and id prolly change the title bar buttons to black or to dark grey

I'd prefer to see one based on combustion, slightly similar charcoal/dark interface, but much better looking IMO. ALso a better compositor, totally off-topic that comment.

Really, mrtew... I didn't say aqua blue. I meant the blue that is already present. If you look closer aqua blue is a bit ritcher. I would call this blue a sky blue. Also, I said this out of personal taste. As for the darkness of the window...this is a practicle change request as if you have been reading in a ton of these theme threads, os x does not have the ability to make text white across the board.

This ranting (though admitedly a small bit in this case) is getting to be a tired subjec for me. I see too often when a person makes a personal statment, and they are chastized for it. I don't understand why some people feel that they can't allow people think or feel the way they want about somthing

You guys seriously like this theme? Or are you being nice? Not only does shake look nasty, this looks like a pretty sad copy of shake.

Sorry, someone had to say it. But at least I didn't make fun of anyone's grammar or text formatting.

Yeah, I dig it hard. I'm not just being nice - I really like it and would proudly use it on my computer.

Taste is called "taste" because everyone's is different. And it's called subjective because there's no right or wrong.

I still think that if it were done right it could be really good. As usual some corrections of Apples decisions would be necessary but the foundation is there for a beaut!

Swiz should do it to add to his collection of Apple Pro app interfaces. It's up to you swiz, but you'd do a good job.

Go ahead and send me as many screenshots as you can muster. It will be a little bit before I get it out but I would like to check it all out first.

Another vote for this theme. Those white-text-on-black-backgrounds 'll have to wait for Panther, if at all, though (here's for hoping! ) I just think that no dark themes on OS X will look good until we can get different colored text in the menu bar. But hell, if anyone can do it, it's swiz (or Max)...

Black should be readable on that color though, so apps with black text will look fine.

I thought that black would show up on that color fine too, but it's close to being too dark I think. Only people with their screens at full brightness will be able to see it very well. Or course after using DSX for about a year I can tell you that there isn't really THAT much type that you miss with dark themes.

can be ok.. but as always, the SS'ified version is always better than the original!
