hey all. i was wondering if anyone could help me out. i really liked the transparent menus in the bbxmx theme, and i just got themepark and been reading tutorials and a whole bunch of other things in an attempt to duplicate the transparent look in other themes. i know the resource is 2061 menu background fill, but i really have no idea how to edit the resource in photoshop. the themepark tutorial is pretty good but i'm still unsuccessful. know of any other good/detailed tutorials? which part of the image should i edit, the opaque or transparent? and how?...kinda new to this photoshoph thing. any advice to point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated...

You want to edit the transparent resource. TO make the menu completely transparent make it all black. For a non-transparent background but the transparency all white. To make it semi transparent use a grey. Darker grey = More Transparent & Lighter Grey = Less transparent.

Or you can always copy and paste resources out of other themes to make your own combo theme. I do that kind of stuff all the time. (You can't release it, of course, though).

I love the U.S., but we need some time apart.

well, i tried that advice of making the transparent resource white/grey/black but i've just had no luck. i'm trying to edit swiz's chosen os theme.
i don't know why i never thought of that...mixing and matching....and of course, i can't release any of it..but it would be cool to see them, if i get it to work...
has anyone else successfully edited the chosen os menus to be more transparent?...if anyone has, can they send me like the resource, or would that be stepping on anyone's toes, in which case...nm..

Why not use ThemePark 1.0 and choose Creat theme and you will be presented with all the elements in a theme, sorted into different categories.
To make a transparent background, choose a color in PS and adjust the transparency until you are satisfied with it.
Then merge that layer with a blank one so that the transparency is contained in one layer.
Copy and paste the layer and choose to preserve transparency. Then fill that layer with white.
Now place both images on a black background and you have the right colors to use in ThemePark.

Dude, I graduated from one of the finest computer industrial design schools in this country and have used photoshop for 7 years on a daily basis, and I have no idea what you just said... It sounded cool though, so can you dumb it down a little bit more?
