I'd make this a poll if I knew what software was available . I used to use Duality in 10.1, but when I first got 10.2 and tried it, it ruined the system. What do you use to apply themes to Jaguar and why?

ThemeChanger, hands down. Duality is poop compared to it. I have never had any problems with it, as opposed to Duality.

I've been using Duality 4 GT.

What's so great about ThemeChanger? I'll go download it and take a look.

Themechanger!

(P.S.) It's donationware so send the author some money or I'm afraid he won't update it when the time comes and we'll all be forced to pay up for Duality, or switch themes manually.)

I love the U.S., but we need some time apart.

Like I've said before, I would seriously pay for all of this stuff... I'd make donations to all of the major theme and icon makers, make donations and pay for the shareware software, etc., but alas, the fact that I'm 15 means that using my parent's credit card to pay some "stranger" on the Internet wouldn't please them at all. I do encourage anybody who can though to donate! (And once I turn that wondeeful 18, I'll be sure to make many donations)

Well, my first Themechanger experience was hair raising. When it was backing up Extras.rsrc it *deleted* it! Needless to say I wasn't... err happy.

I knew I already had a manual backup and restored that by way of cp in single user mode on a restart. After there was a good backup, Themechanger seems pretty darn good and vaguely reliable with theme switching.

I don't know why they take forever to generate a list of installed themes though. That's the #1 reason I dumped Duality: speed.

Right now I'm using Themechanger because it seems to support all the released themes that I'm interested in test driving. It's showing a generic icon but I just can't take duality anymore.

I use ThemePark to splice together my favourite parts of other themes (currently SmoothStripes opaque, with a square menu bar and Milk metal windows) and then the Terminal to place the theme in place..

We will *evetually* update ThemeChanger. Probably during fall, or sooner.

That is, if Panther does not completely kill theming. We're just waiting to see what will happen with theming in Panther GoldenMaster.

We really appreaciate your donations, and thanks for the moral support!
