WHy does it always change everytime I load the laptop?
It just goes back to the Apple one.

How can I set it up so that once it's there, it's there?

Sounds like either the desktop you've set has been moved so it defaults back, or your Finder preferences are corrupt.

like if I see a picture, I save it onto my desktop.
then i set the wallpaper...then i delete that picutre.

will that cause it to go?

Store the desktops in your Pictures folder on the home directory. Then launch system pref go to desktops then choose the pictures folder in the pulldown menu weeee.

Yes, you need to keep the picture somewhere on your harddrive, because every time Finder is launched it refers back to that picture to draw the desktop. If it has moved the Finder doesn't know what to use, so it defaults back to the Aqua Blue picture.

Whatever gave you that idea? Use of the word "Wallpaper" rather than "Desktop Picture"?

I think it's the fact that he applies a desktop and then deletes it, that gave him that idea. Plus he did ask for help.
