I changed the icon of my external Firewire HD by:

1. Getting info on ONE folder
2. Copying its Icon from the info window
3. Pasting it over the info window's icon for my FireWire HD.

I screwed up by not making a backup of the original icon. I can't seem to find the original icon, but know that Apple keeps these hidden.

Can anyone tell me how to revert back to this? Thanks.

I think if you do a Get Info on the file/folder/drive you changed, click on the icon and press Delete, it will come back

If you have something like cocktail, you could do a show hidden files, and then delete the icon file in the root directory of the drive. That should work with HD's, but I've not tried it with a firewire drive.
