Call me a numbnut, but I can't figure out how to change the icon on my home folder. I changed the one home icon I could find (in that .rcrs file, I don't remember which, with all those other ones) and it just switched the toolbar's home icon. I tried copy and paste, but no go. Does anyone know?

Best way to make sure it's changed for good is using Candy Bar.

I'd rather not spend 15 dollars when it's possible not to. Plus, I learn more by doing it manually.

So, does anyone know?

It's in the HIToolBox somewhere... I don't think it's in a regular rsrc that ThemePark reads, and I don't think it's just a normal icon in there either. I know where the standard CD, Drive, Text Clipping etc.. are, and I know where the default Computer.icns is, but not sure about Home. I could never find it, but never really looked either...

The Home Folder is located inside this .rsrc file: /System/Library/CoreServices/SystemIcons.bundle/Contents/Resources/SystemIcons.rsrc

Themepark doesn't support it, so you will have to use resourcer or resedit to change it.

OTOH, while it does cost $15 to register CandyBar, CandyBar will change all of your icons for free permanently a number of times. Then after it stops working all you need to do is search for an invisible pref file and delete. Then you can use CandyBar again as if it were the first time.

OK, I think I see it. I didn't realize there were two home icons in there and therefore just changed one.
