Werd!

ThemePark 1.1 is out. Here's what's new:
  • Added ability to edit resource files that store their data in their resource fork. This allows many Carbon programs to be tweaked.
  • A file's other (non-resource-based) file forks are now preserved after editing.
  • A file's flags (such as a custom icon) are now preserved after editing.
  • Zoomed images in all editors but pxm# are no longer antialiased or interpolated (again!).
  • Moved the "Blue Toolbar" resources out of the obsolete category since they aren't actually obsolete.
  • Moved small and large, horizontal and vertical slider tick marks into the Obsolete category since they aren't used.
  • The alternate Login Window shutdown images are now exported to a theme properly.
  • Fixed support for 'PNG ' resources and added those in the Finder to the default theme template.
  • Added a user notification if something goes wrong while exporting a theme.
  • Fixed a typo in the alert presented when trying to paste an image that doesn't fit the selected area.
  • Fixed several typo's in the tpark theme template.

Please note that ThemePark does not support some older formats of the pxm# and ppat resources. These formats are used in OS 9 Appearance themes and some Microsoft products. This didn't seem like a big deal in my testing, but if you have some strong need to be able to read these old formats, let me know and I'll evaluate adding support.

The reason that this is now an issue is that ThemePark can now read resourc-fork files, which is how these older formats are stored.

Here's a direct download link. This link is now bookmarkable should you feel the urge.

Enjoy, and please give feedback if you find any issues!

(I'd need something to test against)

I have a problem with theme park still. Every time I launch it, the one button keeps moving on me. Could you fix this ASAP?

I haven't been able to figure out what's causing this anomalous behaviour. But these people claim to have found a fix.

I'm actually sorta surprised I haven't received lots of hate mail about the jumping "Use For Free" button. I expected lots of huffage...

Instead, I get emails from people telling me they like it and don't want to register because they don't want to lose it. Whoda thunk?

BTW, nice catch Ambush! That good SAT Verbal score of mine would be turning over in its grave if, uhh, it was animated at some point and then had died and been buried instead of being an abstract concept not capable of dying.

Apparently, this affects Entourage... Entourage's resources are stored in Microsoft Office X/Office/Microsoft Framework X, which is openable with ThemePark 1.1, but when saved, it gets corrupted, and Entourage won't launch.

So, any chance I could convince you to mend this somehow? (Considering that the reason I requested resource-fork editing with ThemePark in the first place was because of Entourage )
