Seeing this stuff in the middle of the night while at work makes it really tough to be here. Can't wait to get home and try it out. Looks like great work, as always, bOOzo.

Riveting ?

As always - very original, amazing details
- especially like what would have been the PXM's 2062 and 2063. (Menu Enhancer at work ?)
- But I do not think I'm going to be riveted to it - needs a subdued 'graphite' version.

Wow! That's freakin' excellent!

By the way, your DLTA package is referring to "Black_Menuextras/PPP/", but that directory isn't present. Just FYI.

Max, you've really outdone yourself this time

To me, this is THE best theme for OS X yet... and the brushed apps look fantastic

Simple yet incredibly refined, it's loaded with small details that make me so warm inside...

Wow, amazing! Gonna try it out as soon as possible.
A Graphite version would be nice for future versions maybe, the current color schemes might be a little to strong for some.
Anyway, thanks for all your hard work

[edit] Oh man. I take back the Graphite comment. Both the green and the orange are ace! I'm not to keen on the blue, but I bet others will love it.
Gonna go make a Camino theme for my self now...

Wow! This time I'm really impressed. This one is one of the most gorgeous and refined theme I ever seen! The details are unbelievable.
What a week!! after the SS power metal from Swiz, This one from you. Fantastic!
BTW, Max As I'm still in the learn curve of theming, Could you explain to me how you added those (ddn) pxm to the ressource extra file?
I'm very interested because I didn't know that this can be done and I'd like to try it out in one of the themes I'm making.
Again, Well done and Thanks Max.

This theme is extremely well-done max. Your theming skills have matured nicely! I now feel like I have a few quality themes (thanks to you, Swiz and a few others) that I can choose from that actually appeal to me. Not many people can truly appreciate the level of detail/concentration you've applied to this theme, but I do. Thanks man.

The Finder screws up, but I've tried this theme in other apps, and it's well done, but a bit too glossy for me. Oh well. Cool desktop backgrounds though!

Max, you've done it again! Beautiful design and as always amazing attention to detail. Just F-ing amazing. I just started working full time my self so I'll see if I can throw a little green your way. What's the exchange rate? I hope Ten American dollars is like 200... whatever you call your money.

I'm thinking that maybe I was just too used to swiz's power metal theme, which is very grey and subdued. I'll give this one another try when I go back to jaguar (today or in a couple days).

Max, I love this theme. Of course, it's only Day One, but it's the first theme I've installed in forever that didn't get replaced by SmoothStripes Gloss as soon as I took a good look. This seems usable.

The desktops look great, too! To everybody who likes this, let's put our money where our mouths are and throw a little something Max's way. Even if you can only afford a dollar/pound/euro/whatever... With all of us here using these themes, it can add up. Help the guy out!

Thanks again, Max.

Max,

Terrific job. Obviously you spent a lot of time on it. I love the tab elements and progress bars. And the orange is straight dope. Buttons look great with the rivets, but I'm not a huge fan of the menu bar up top. I like that to be a smooth line.

But still - nice, nice work.

while i prefer a straightline menubar as well...
beautiful work, great rendering.

& liked the green (which i didn't expect to)

when will apple offer us theme choices in the os?? seems so logical (as long as themes conform to specs)

Even if you do not like it, just saying 'to me it's
ugly' does seem to sound a little short, a little
rude even perhaps, considering the time that
went into making this theme and the obvious
excitement of the maker.
Especially when posted on several forums.

but hey, who the *** am I anyway?

all that matters is that...

Max, this is the best you did sofar!

rockin' good theme

a very nice aqua variant. [milk meets aqua]

i see you've been influenced by the great iza...

i'm glad i kicked my little "snow" aqua variant out the door last week...i would have been accused of grand theft from the blue one...

I love it. I seem to be encountering a couple problems, probably which do not lie with the theme itself...

First of all, in OmniWeb, the page loading indicator changes to the themed one when a page is loaded, but remains the old style wheel grayed out when idle. I assume this is because the OmniGroup hard-coded this one into the app.

Secondly, also in OmniWeb, the progress bar for downloads does not progress. Does anyone else experience this?

Thanks, Max. This theme rocks!

I'm gonna get shot down in flames - but cmove's got every right
to say it's an ugly theme - in his earnest opinion.

Rivets have been a design cliche since photoshop day one - Max seems
to have riveted a smoothstripes variant and added some very juicy gumdrops
( and gorgeous extras ) - for some this is trite and ugly.
Yes he spends a lot of time on them, yes he's serving the OSX community
with very little payback - and he may well be young but he ain't no child
so please don't think he will stop theming or
something if one or two offer anything but sycophantic praise.

see. the difference is in the finesse of the critique. yours is more valid because it actually states some reasoning. his comes across as a flame from a troll. if he wants to be a CONTRIBUTOR to a messageboard community, he should be able to at least post something that sparks discussion - which is why were here anyway...

Brilliant Max - I must say that I find your original work far more satisfying than your Apple-fied remixes (although they're essentials and the best of the Aqua-derived themes going)! Let's hope this inspires more truly original themes for OSX

Again, fantastic work - a testament to the fact that the many hours/weeks/months an original design requires for proper fleshing out is well worth it in the end. One case where less is more by far - 2 or 3 100% original Max themes a year would be much more satisfying overall than a dozen Aqua remixes. Bravo!

Cmove is far from a troll and I suspect that English is not his native language. I think we can all agree that one can say something looks like ass without actually saying it...C responded to my post in an appropriate fashion so lets let it drop and continuing the oogling of Max's work.

Just wanted to thank Max for NOT showing any previews or sneak-peeks and just dropping the bomb like that...

Done otherwise, we'd have a 10 pages-long topic with all kinds of crazy/stupid requests and mean comments

And we'd still be waiting for the theme

All hail the great Maxthemanator

The overall candiness of it lends it a bit too much of a Windows XP flavor.. it might just be my monitor but does the metal have a blueish tint?

I definitely vote for some graphite widgets.. or maybe something different, like some shiny black ones.

Damnit... these theme is fabulous.

But...the caveat that negates the usage 90% of all themes is the lack of iChat and iCal widget updates. Damn Apple!

They probably aren't too hard... but you guys already spend enough of your time on these.

What to do....

Max, I love your new theme! I LOVE IT... umm. Yeah, it's great because I love the tech-look of it. I love "Tech-y" themes. They are great and you are the best Mac themer in the world. Okay... can I make a request? Can you make an "All-Aluminum" version of this theme... like: Aluminum Apple Menu Icon, Scroll Bars, Title Bar widgets, Progress Bars and such.

Also, I know it's small but, I LOVE HOW YOU DID THE LOADING ICON! I noticed it in Safari when I was loading a web page in a tab. GREAT WORK! Nobody ever themes the loading animation. You rock Max!

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Would it be possible for you to make a matching iTunes theme? I know it's still a lot of work, but you know how much more consitancy the Mac OS would have with this kick-ass theme?

Oh man, I can't believe you released another Killer theme. I love SmoothStripes, but this beats SmoothStripes. It's original and clever and a nice Tech touch to the Mac OS interface. AWESOME work MAX! YOU ROCK!

Keep theming forever!

You can all drool over it all you like, for me personally, the iMac colors are I do like most of his themes, but this one just doesn't do it for me.

Sorry if it's a little big, I wanted to make sure the quality of the theme could be seen.
Do you want any other shots of it?
