Ok, I just have to bring this topic up again ... IN the last several threads here I've noticed over and over and over people complaining about ThemeChanger or Duality not working for them. One or the other seems to crash the system or simply hang while changing the theme ... So once again I ask the themers - can you plase give us at least the choice of using theme packages or Installer.app packages (like Izawa's) The only good argument I've heard against Installer packages is that they take control over your computer and make it a dangerous thing to switch themes. Now I've used Izawa's themes for a while, and they always work. And I trust him not to mess up the Installer packages he creates. I would also trust Swiz or Max if they offered Installer packages as an alternative for people whose systems are not happy with Duality or ThemeChanger. You guys can offer both formats, and put a notice on your websites next to the Installer.app packages that says "use at your own risk" - that would be great - let people who want to use the Installer do so if they really want, but make sure they are aware of the risks.
And it can't be so hard to make both formats available - I asked DSKY for an Installer.app package for the FT-700 theme a while ago, and I got it from him almost right away.
So once again, Max, Swiz and others: can you please consider adding this option?!
Thanks!
