This is one thing I'm really curious about, they're there in Max's latest brilliance, the Aluminum Alloy, making it look.....well...........look just the way you want it...I want it...you...we...whatever...
(I never managed to install it though)
Mmm, however, it's about those (ddn) resources (#128-163) at the far end of the pxm list. Seems to be a japanese invention with a non-sense babelfish translated explanation. On top of that it's a long one making you feel it's really complicated...
So what's the secret behind this?
I get the feeling there's some catch...(since it's long and complicated-looking)
Hmmm?
So...anyone managed to interpret that babelfish translation?

What I did and do, is to use Resorcerer to copy the new resources from a theme that uses them...into a fresh copy of OS X's Extras.rsrc.
Simple as that.

I assume you're talking about MenuEnhancer. It's a hack that uses a modified 'layo' resource to add new pxm#s for rendering menus, allowing you to have things like menu divider lines and "boxes" around menu items (see Max's latest theme).
As Dace says, to use, grab MenuEnhancer from Desktopper.net and use Resourcererererer to copy all of the resources into your Extras.rsrc.
I'll be adding this into ThemePark at some point - I need to figure out the UI for it first.

Okey...so you need Menu Enhancer to view, for example Max's latest theme?

No you don't... you need MenuEnhancer to put the division lines in the menus in the theme. That's why I have always been a bit lost by it, but I haven't really tried playing with it much yet. I would like to use it in a theme I have been working on, but I'm not too sure about how to go about it. I'm going to have to look into it more.

No, sorry I wasn't clear.
MenuEnhancer is a set of patches that a theme developer can apply to his/her theme. After doing this, the theme developer can add divider lines and menu borders to his/her theme, which can't normally be done.
A theme's end-user doesn't need to know or care about MenuEnhancer.

Ah, no problem I got that as soon as I downloaded the package...you just have to copy the resources, right?
