I was in the mood for a change from Aqua today and decided to switch into BBX Mercury when I realized that it really is still a great theme. It's beautiful but still highly useable, it doesn't get tiresome quickly like many designs.

I even went surfing for a new desktop (found one, I think it goes nicely)

Anyways, this isn't just a BBX Lovefest I've got two minor quibbles with it and don't know who I should ask to fix them, BBX or Max (Boozoo?)

The first has to do with how widgets look on web pages, they look great on white or grey backgrounds but on colored or black backgrounds they have a noticeable "halo" around them.

The second quibble may not be a bug, I never really paid attention in Aqua, but the top of the scroll well has a small, separated rectangle up top. I have the OS set to have both scroll buttons together on the bottom.

I read over at MaxThemes that he's got time on his hands so maybe he wants to fix these little things to perfect the design and kill some time.

I hope Omega is as usable as Mercury because if it is then I'm going to be a happy Mac user in less than 30 days

The first is because popup buttons have a sunken bevel that is opaque. I guess it could be made transparent, but it would require some tinkering. I will see what I can do for an update.

The second is just the way it has to be handled, because that's were the scrollbar stops. In Aqua it also has a block there, but it's rounded to fit the scrollbar.

I like the new widgets

I love the U.S., but we need some time apart.
