For anyone who's working on converting existing themes to Panther and doesn't want to wait for the ThemePark updater to get done (it's coming along nicely, btw), be careful about 'tdat' resources.

These are resources in the "Extras.rsrc" file. They aren't usually modified, but Desktopper.net's MenuEnhancer modifies them. If you use a theme with Jaguar's modified 'tdat' resources in Panther, many Carbon apps will crash on launch.

I don't think Theme Fur copies these resources over, so if you're using TF to update themes, you should be fine. I'm too lazy to actually look at the TF code to make sure, though.

As I've said before, I recommend that you just hang out and use the new ThemePark auto-updater when it's ready instead of trying to update for Panther manually.

I'd listen to the man - he knows whereof he speaks.

As a side note, you just exposed me to "whereof", never seen it before For anyone that doesn't know, it seems that it can be used in place of "of what" or "of which". I did a search for it and I could only find it used by Shakespeare and in law documents – it's still cool though. Anyways, that's all, move along...

I read too many (non-fiction) books about adventures on the high-seas, the age of discovery, etc... maybe that's it.

On another side-note... I just saw Kill Bill - let me just say, what a f*cking masterpiece... one of the most entertaining movies I think I've ever seen (and not just because I've got a serious hard-on for all things Samurai) - Smeger, take a break from all this coding and maybe take the little woman out to see Kill Bill... if she digs on Kanji, she probably digs on Samurai. There's a lot of cool scenes that take place in Japan.

The Kanji thing was my ex-girlfriend. She wanted advice on Kanji to make a painting for my current girlfriend and me.

Current one's in a dance company, so I'll be breaking tomorrow to watch the modern dance interpretation of Kiss of the Spiderwoman and Dracula.

Does that count as a break from coding tedium?
