Is is safe?
Is it secret?

How does one go about changing the boot screen now a day?

I have done it with Jag, but the twirler bars thingy always got chunky. You know, that circle of bars at the bottom middle of the screen? They got weird or distorted, or kind of disappeared only to leave a light grey box...

'Twould be nice to have that new shinny apple at boot up instead of the flat one.

wasn't it :

"Is it secret?" and then.... "Is it safe?"

damn..this is gonna bug me...i'm gonna go research it right now...

as for the topic at hand check this out...

http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/19766

it says added panther support...but i'm just not brave enough to try it out for myself yet...replacing the boot image is potentially dangerous...although i can always make a back up of the OG...but eh...let's see if there are any brave souls out there first...

yeah...that new chrome apple would be cool...but i am really fond of the smiling mac face...it just brings a warm feeling everytime i boot up...i had a graphite one installed on Jaguar...got it from Resex..
