Right now i'm using Brushed 2.2.3 on 10.2.6, but Panther is on the way, and I'm wondering how long I'm going to have to deal with colored buttons. I'd much prefer metal or gray.

Also, anybody know if i'm going to have to reinstall my games/programs when I do the upgrade to panther? Something will probably break and i'll end up formatting/installing anyways :/

You can make them gray with no hacks. Just go to "Appearance" PrefPane and set the appearance to "Graphite" instead of "Aqua". Voila. Works on Jaguar and Panther.
