The actual Aqua buttons are fetched from the Extras.rsrc, but the List and Column symbols and the Blue gradient selection images must be fetched somewhere else. Any one know where?

they aren't in Finder.rsrc? Weird... Maybe somewhere in the Finder's Resources folder?

Yup, the blue gradient is in the Finder.rsrc, it's called blue selection, I changed mine to a nice Graphite colour. You can also get to change the labels too, but for some reason it won't work for list view.

Edit: Those change I mentioned only work in the Finder, and not in the save as dialogues.

Yeah that's the problem. It creates inconsistency if you can't change both. I'm going to look around a bit more to see if I can find them.

God knows where they are. I wanted to change the labels to a flatter look and managed to find the resources for the Finder column, and Icon view in the Finder.rsrc, but didn't have any effect on List View. I'm wondering if list view is somehow coded differently, since if you look at the column and icon view's windows, they don't have the horizontal and vertical scrollbars when items are all within the boundaries, but List view still behaves as it did in 10.2, the scrollbar wells still present no matter what.

the search goes on, good luck.

Just out of curiosity, are the Finder labels in therer anywhere? i.e. their color? I'd really like to be able to change them to a softer pastel color so they aren't so garish.
