Has anyone tried to theme the labels or the icon highlighter yet in Panther?

The color it highlights selected items with uses the highlight color you pick in the Appearance preferences. The labels can be changed in one of the .rsrc files, I believe finder.rsrc.

What the labels? Yeah, it would be cool to be able to choose a custom color like the highlight.

I was thinking more in terms of the SHAPE of the labels :-)

However the saturation and brightness of the color you pick is ignored. I don't know why it modifies it.

I'd never noticed it until someone pointed it out to me. I do wish the sidebar used the selection color as well instead of that blue "glass" gradiant bitmap.

Oh, I'm not sure where the shapes are stored, I'd guess in the same .rsrc file but I haven't checked it out.

I think they're in the new Finder.rsrc file as PNG images. ThemePark can read 'em, but the standard theme template isn't (yet) aware of them.
