Why does almost everyone but me have problems with panther themes? I've been hearing about people's Finders dyeing, but never once happened to me even on the betas with my themefur ports.

The theme works great.

Applying any themes for me nukes my finder. I've had to re-install Panther multiple times because of this. I always have to run diskwarrior after doing so because reinstalling panther corrupts my disks directory by 12% every time.

I fixed it by reinstalling the Essentials.pkg on the Panther CD. I'm not sure what the problem was.. a bug in Themechanger perhaps?

Perhaps, but one i can't confirm (even though it happened to me), i believe it's caused by a bad aqua backup, since after re-installing aqua via max rudberg's installer package (comes with smooth stripes), then i removed tc's aqua backup, and all problems with nuked finder disappeared. Might be an idea to create a backup of finder before you try this though... that way you don't have to reinstall. Use terminal to install the backed up finder, or if you aren't comfortable with terminal, use Path Finder (get it here ).
Haven't been able to verify this yet though.

Yeah, they've really got to release a new version of Themechanger soon before all the themes start coming out that will delete its own Aquabackup the first time it runs on Panther. Theminig is supposed to be getting LESS dangerous, not more dangerous.

I love the U.S., but we need some time apart.

Actually the "manhole" icons match pretty well, but they are incomplete as a "total system replacement".

I guess I'll go ahead and use them anyway, unless anyone else has a suggestion...

I agree, it is safe to use.

I was just pointing out that even without it once you apply the "Shinobi" theme the brushed is already gone from "Finder".
