Can we compile a list here? Brushed definitely does not convert correctly, Milk does (etc.)

Yes, please compile such a list. The more things I know about that don't work, the better the odds are of me fixing 'em.

Well most that don't use the Menu Enhancers seem to work ok. I did run into a bug though:
"I was just trying the built-in Jag theme updating and it seems to work almost perfectly in the first preview of a given Jag theme. BUT when applied (after preview) or previewed a second time the tabs just stay in Aqua. Other than that bug, all Jag themes that don't use menu enhancers seem to work great."

Which Jag themes don't use menu enhancers, then? It would be nice to have a list. How would I see if they do short of trying them all with Shapeshifter?

Well it is safe to test any theme, you'll know as soon as you try them if they work or not. They all will work to an extent, so it really depends on how good they look.

BBX Mercury somewhat works, certain finder windows look better than others, rounded finder windows in Panther come up sorta odd. Not criticizing, just stating my experience, one of my favorite themes of all time.

Thankfully Max will update all his themes before too long. "I will go on to porting Brushed and Milk now" and I'm guessing Mercury is right after Milk.

Same here.

It's a "1.0"........ The good thing is that it IS "Unsanity" which means they are always on top of the ball and very responsive to user feedback.

They will work it out.

You're really plugging your theme aren't you mrtew? This really is a topic about themes that haven't been updated for Panther and using them on SS.

i think we should give tew ten yards on this one. after all the headaches he had to go through getting his theme out, he releases it on the same day as shape shifter! he deserves to plug the crap outta it, even if it is in the middle of all the ss hoopla.

I've got no problem with it, just noting that it was off topic.

Oops... I didn't even see the 10.2 in the subject line! Well then, how about Titanium5!!! (Just kidding) And you guys are right.... I have to plug my theme a little... otherwize how am I going to recover all the time and money I have invested in it? Oh, wait... it's free. I just realized, it doesn't even matter if anyone knows about it... I was just telling the forum because I was so glad it's done and I think it came out good.

Hi. I just wanted to mention again that I am watching this thread and fixing bugs.

The issue that NetworkShadow noted with tabs is the same issue as the one that cxddesign noted.

MenuEnhancer shouldn't be a problem. I think it's themes that were created for pre 10.2.6 OSes that cause crashes in Carbon apps.

Please keep going, this thread is very helpful to me.

The menus look really strange on BBX Mercury X though... and the widget, but that can't be helped.
