I was forced to do an archive and reinstall of Panther, which ended up disabling my Unsanity haxies. So I decided to reinstall them from scratch, starting with Application Enhancer 1.4.1. I downloaded it, tried to install, but couldn't because it said I already had the Enhancer installed. So I used the uninstall feature of the earlier version, then tried to reinstall with the new download, but same result, the software would not install because it said I already had the program. Apparently the uninstall feature doesn't work properly.
Can anyone describe to me a way around this so that I can reinstall APE and reinstall my haxies? Life without a little unsanity is much less fun.

Try trashing /Library/Frameworks/ApplicationEnhancer.framework folder then installing it again with the original installer.

Hope this helps.

Thanks. I did what you suggested, and I found a few more files that were clearly connected to APE and deleted them as well. This allowed me to do a reinstall of Application Enhancer, as well as two haxies (CLearDock and WindowShadeX).
However, they still won't function at all (for example, ClearDock doesn't make the dock background clear, and WindowShade doesn't do anything either).
I'm starting to suspect that this may not be the Panther-compatible APE 1.4.1. I got it from Unsanity's web site, and the outside of the installer package says 1.4.1, but the installer, once launched, says only 1.4, and the version history file only goes to 1.4. The Information tab in the preferences pane only shows it as 1.4, and doesn't say 1.4.1. I know for a fact that the version history page available on their website specifically goes into 1.4.1.
Any ideas or info?

Slava, it's great to have you here on the boards. Fast and great answeres to especially annoying ape questions.

Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast!

Alright, never mind. I finally got the haxies to work. Time to redownload Shapeshifter.
