I must be doing something wrong. When I open SS from system Preferences and "Loding Mods" is complete, I have 2 of each theme listed and I have a mounted image on my desktop for each theme.
When I download the themes for Panther, I have been opening the .dmg and placing the theme in Home>Library>Themes folder.
I also have a folder I keep on my desktop of all .dmg that I download, which I burn to CD now and then.
When I use the "-" button to delete one of the duplicates, a warning message drops down and informs me I can continue what I'm doing, but the next time I open "Themes" it's just gonna put back what I'm deleting. Sure enuff--it does!
1. Where does SS want me to keep my themes?
2. Why is SS loading each theme twice? (Does it have to do with that downloads folder on my desktop?)
Thank you for any help!

I suspect that you have two of each because you double-clicked the theme from the dmg and copied the theme to your "Themes" folder. ShapeShifter 1.0 has a bug that prevents the "-" button from working on a theme that's been moved from its original location. The work around is to delete <Your Home Directory>/Library/Preferences/com.unsanity.shapeshifter.prefPane.plist and then relaunch System Prefs. This issue has been fixed for 1.0.1, btw.

I deleted the .plist. Now only 2 of the themes are duplicated. (Guess that's a start.)
1. Where SHOULD I be storing my themes, if not in my Home Directory>/Library/Themes folder?
2. Is SS 1.0.1 available for download? (Unsanity site still shows SS 1.0.)
Thank you for your reply and help.

Well, none of them should be. Which ones are duplicated?
You can store your themes wherever you like. I store mine in a folder in <My home directory>/Documents/
SS 1.0.1 is not yet available for download. It will probably be released sometime this week.
By the way, you can email me about this if you'd like instead of polluting the forums.

Sorry about "polluting" the forum. I just found this forum a week ago when SS was released and I'm still getting my bearings. Tried to email you via this forum, but the message said you were not accepting email. Couldn't locate an email address at your website either, so I had to resort to this forum again. Sorry.
The 2 Themes are:
Aqua Extreme 2
SmoothStripes 4
I D/L both from Max's site.
