I'm working on updating the Mercury theme and I thought I'd get some icons for it, but MMicons seems to have turned into a... sneakershop..?
Anyone know why and perhaps where the icons can be found?

I've been waiting for someone to ask that, I deleted the Mercury icons a while back but now I really want 'em again. I went to MMicons and was quite perplexed myself, a sneakershop?

I hope someone still has those icons...

The last I heard from Mikkel was quite some time ago - I sent him the design specs for our MIRAI theme some time ago and never heard back (ah - it all suddenly makes sense these delays, no?)... it's really odd that he just kind of dropped off the planet like that (and no the theme didn't suck that bad that he opted out, I'm pretty sure). I've sent you an email Max with a link to the entire collection. We should probably still hunt down Mikkel and seek his permission to include them all (there are literally hundreds of them here).

Last I saw from him he was in the middle of redoing everything, "new site, new icons, new style", for sometime in 2004. He even had a nice little splash page for it.

Don't know where the sneaker shop thing came from. Hope he hasn't decided to go the way of Pixeljerk.

I could try calling the shop to hear their relation to mikkel madsen since we are both danish. I don't know if it would have any effect though.

edit: I just found out that www.pixeleer.dk is also Mikkel Madsen- sorry if you knew already.

Not to intrude on your privacy, but I have sent of an e-mail to Mikkel Madsen to have him tell us what's up with both www.pixeleer.dk and www.mmicons.com - I also wrote an e-mail to that sneakershop asking what's up. Just thought I'd let you know. carry on...

As noticed in a previous post; I sent an e-mail to www.sneakershop.net/dk and here's what I got:
Hej Allan,
Mikkel er vores gode ven og eftersom han ikke har tid til at lave ikoner lige nu, spurgte han om han ikke bare skulle redirecte til vores side.

Translated to English, it says this;

"Hello Allan,
Mikkel is our good friend and since he does not have the time to make icons right now, he asked if he could just redirect to our site."

No word from Mikkel himself though. Maybe it will come at a later time.

I admit it. Before a few days ago, I had never got around to trying BBX Mercury until it was too late.

But now, I have tried it. And it is good. I can't believe I've been missing out for all these months!

I finally got in touch with Mikkel! Everything's okay, he's just linking to a friend's site until his new stuff is up. He's just had a wickedly busy 36 months (I can certainly relate to that!)...
