I've been doing a bit of nostalgia surfing just now, and came across the old Amiga MorphOS replacement OS. It looks pretty damn sweet, anyone thikn it could be made into an OS X theme?

linking from that site does not work.
I'd rather see the new OS4 theme being turned into a theme.

OS 4 looks cool, but the metal texture seems a bit overused.
Give us a few minutes, I'll host that pic somewhere else.

I wonder where the icons came from, and if they're downloadable. The titlebar reminds me a little of the blackbox theme on windows.

oooo, that is sweet, that's a great site too, thanks for the link.
here's where I found some details on morphos, and other Amiga OSs
http://amiga.emugaming.com/morphos.html

I'm like you too, an old amiga user. I had to have it wrenched out my hands before I admitted defeat when Commodore went bust. I managed to cling onto using it well after they sunk, kinda shows you how well supported it was, and die-hard the users were.

Yeah, I remember all the good stuff like; FBlit, MCP, MagicMenu, Scalos, DirectoryOpus4, Birdie2000, VisualPrefs, PersonalPaint7.1, and GlowIcons. All on my A4000(68060 PPC604e 233Mhz) with a cybervision gfxcard and cybergfx.
What did you have ?
edit. remember Dave Haynie ?? I just found the clips where he shows off AAA I had lost them when I moved from Amiga -> PC ->Mac. Funny to watch. I think the whole Deathbed Virgil(sp?)video can be seen on AmigaForever6.

I had an original A1000 with a 68010 "upgrade." Then an A500 with SupraDrive 500XP and some Supra 28MHz 68000 thing on the side, then a Derringer 68030 thing inside. I finally got my A3000 with Picasso IV, IOBlix interface card. Amiga was cool as heck.

That was a nice A4000 setup you had. I had the desktop A3000, abd befire that had various 500s, the 3000 was nice, but a total bugger to update internally due to its awckward innards. My brother got an A4000 later on then shoved the cyberstorm 68060 board inside, it felt like it couldn't get any better. The apps. you mentioed above made me smile, brought back a ton if memories. I was running ImageFX, Lightwave, and the forge/essence procedural texture modules. Magicmenu was brilliant, really made a differnce to the look of things. I once tried tried to update an old A3000 16mhz machine to workbench/kickstart 3.1, I ended frying the m/board, lol I've still got both machines here, just aboutto sell them due to a move abroad, I turned on the working 3000 and was smiling when it booted up in a few seconds, and lightwave kicked in.
One thing that still amazes me, was that any old Amiga could play back 25/30fps wireframe previews in real time, smooth as silk too.
I used to dream of having the cybrevision card, what was that like? The best I ever managed to get was the picasso, just the first one and notthe64bit one, did the job fordisplaying true colour, but was slow though.
I bet youremember the days of buying a 32mb stick of ram for the4000 and costing around a grand, lol. funny times
I remember Haynie too, I think he was last heard working for Scala, he used to post quite a bit on usenet, but I've never seen the deathbed vigil, tried to get a copy of it years ago, but couldn't source it.
Might be time to buy Amiga forever.

lol, I remember that supra add-on, looked totally funky. Have you still got the A1000? They are quite the collector's item now, especially the signed ones.
Amiga was such a great bunch of machines, really miss that feeling, and the whole demo scene.

Heh, nice Amiga's you had there! The CyberVision was a CyberVision64 with 4 or 8mb ram. I could play Earth2140 and Descent + Heretic and Hexen, Quake and Doom without lag - just the right app. I was really something. I also played a little with ImageFX- no 3D though. Even though I had Lightwave5 or something. I also played with ArtEffect3 and 4. those were like PS- although not as heavy to use.Photogenics was also a cool app. And a somewhat new painting app I can't remember the name off right now. And I remember buying expensive ram. I had 128Mb of it on the Phase5 PPC card. I had it all i guess. Just not the right monitor, a Microvitec 14" with a refresh rate at 60hz or there abouts. Tiring for the eyes.
I really loved my AmigaPPC Why oh why did I sell it to buy a PC? ack. Those that bought it would just split it up.

My A1000 was signed...all designers and their dog's footprint. I think I gave it away or sold it. Don't remember.
MY friend had an A1000 also, he put the Rejuvenator in it with a 68030 card. Totally tricked out and was sweet. "You can't have 2MB chip RAM," he did. Funny, looking back.

I honestly don't really like it and this thread isn't even about themes anymore but I was bored and came up with this if anyone wants to steal it:
