Seemed to me like an okay concept. Needs to be finished though.

Looks like (or will eventually look like (I think)) a badly modified aqua. The gray background annoys me, and the bright blue clashes with it, expecially in the menus.

I like it.

I thought the menu background would be annoying but inpractice it works well.

I'm using it now.

thanx...

i worked long and hard to integrate apples metal and liquid aqua more closely together...

i've received several requests for a toned down background and will be doing so in a variant released in the next week.

i don't quite get your badly modified descriptive...if you took it apart with themepark

you would see it was very well done.

i think it turned out pretty good with what i intended to accomplish...mainly getting rid of the white and replacing it with metal yet retaining the liquid aqua...which by the way is favoured by a high majority of os x users who modify their gui.

sorry it's not to your tastes...i did it for myself and decided to share it with like minded folks.

it's been a hugh success...i even had an email from someone who said they purchased shapeshifter just for metaliika v1.

maybe you might like KROMEX. the main two variants have no aqua, however a third variant does for those in the majority who prefer it. should be out in a week.

Nah, I don't really like KROMEX. Sorry if I sounded a little harsh, it's just that I don't really like the whole metal idea...

I really like Metallika, esp. the menu highlights, they remind me of liquid trapped in metal, cool! I'm looking forward to the update on Kromex, I use that one frequently too!

Thank you and keep it up!

Yup. This one stuck out like a sore thumb in the Resex archives, but in a good way. Like a not so sore thumb. I hope you consider redoing the Aqua elements a bit, to get around our policy at MacThemes. I love the window widgets, and this was definitely the find of the month at Resex.

hi quandarry

Would you mind if I used modified versions of your titlebar buttons for a Mod of Milk? If Max gives permission to post it in his forums?

Very incomplete looking with all that Aqua in it. It might do well if it were all metal.

if you read the 'read me' you would have figured it out...

"an experiment in metal and liquid beyond apple...."

hence the aqua stays as does the metal.

however the way the aqua is displayed may evolve either as apple changes it or variations there of, as i choose...like maybe inset aqua stuffs.

however...

keep your eyes peeled for a fully revamped and overhauled KROMEX for an all metal look. some may remember it from the unsanity contest way back. it contains or actually i stole some of the metal elements from it for metallika...
