Change .zip and .dmg icons?

does anyone know if there is a way to change the default .zip and .dmg icons? some of the window's icons have .zip states, and i was wondering if you could use that. on that note, is there anyway to change the .png, .jpg, etc icons too?

do you mean the default image icons that preview gives out? if so, they are in the Resources folder in the preview app.

.zip i am not sure of

.zip default document icons can be found via Resources folder in this directory:

System > Library > Core Services > BOMArchiveHelper.app



.dmg document icons can be found in DiskImageMounter.app (same folder as BOMArchiveHelper)
