One difficulty with themeing for Jag is that fewer and fewer people will be able to use your theme.

no no, i mean since I've only worked on Jaguar themes before, what is the transition like? (some of the more experiences thememakers, please answer)

I don't recall big differences...
That being said, I'm not that experienced with theming for jaguar..
Powerbook 1.67ghz 15" (100GB HD, 128MB VRAM, 1.5GB RAM)

IIRC you'll have less things to change in Panther compared to Jag.

Not true. In addition to regular tabs, there are the segment tabs and segment buttons. Then there is the new mini states for push buttons, popup buttons, checkboxes, radiobuttons and sliders. So there is more to change than in Jaguar.

and dont forget app skins are now handled by ss.. and text colors are the ultimate pain in the arse

But all those things break the limits of Jag themes, (dark themes) the end product is a more complete theme even if it takes more work.
