Izawa wrote up a quick article on modifying QT's LCD screen. Just thought some of you guys would like to know.

God, I love it when Izawa does this!

I'll try to incorporate this into TP/SS.

At the end when he referred to iTunes, was he saying that the method might help with the background problem, or with the LCD part of iTunes? Izawa said something about "level indication"..I don't understand what that means.

If you click on the tiny "play" button within the LCD screen, you'll get sound level indicators when you play a song. I think he means the ability to customize the color of those bars, as well as the little diamond that shows where you are in a song and the rectangle that surrounds it.

Wow.. It's sad that I know what level indicators are, but when he said "level indicators" it went right over my head.. Huge brain fart there.

For anybody who's interested, Izawa's added an article on skinning an insane number of iTunes hard-coded junk, including (gasp!) the etched text.

Wow, that is sweet.. Can't wait for this stuff to be incorporated into ThemePark/ShapeShifter .
