As Mr. Harris' agent we have decided to release this press release. Not not really he just needs a new site but being the busy he is he can't seem to find the time. Well read for yourselves.

The Geekspiff website is in dire need of an overhaul, but Mr. Geekspiff has been too busy coding up teh yummage to do it for about three years now, and I don't see things changing anytime soon. If any kind soul feels like contributing a new design based on the existing logo, and I like it, I'll provide said graphic genius with registrations to all of my software (ShapeShifter, Mighty Mouse, and ThemePark), will credit him/her on every page of the site, and will be really damned grateful! And I'll even kick a fifty in U.S. Currency towards said graphic genius's dope stash.

So those who are interested, contact him via this address helpageek@geekspiff.com

Cheers

Thanks in advance to everyone who's interested in working on this!

Here's a bit more detail: Basically, I'm looking for a new appearance, based on the shape (but not necessarily the color) of my existing logo as seen here and here. I prefer bright, saturated colors and bold shapes. (Flagship is one of my all-time favorite themes, for example). I also like open, un-cramped designs.

I can send you a psd of the logo if necessary.

I'll do all of the coding for the page (I'm going to integrate WordPress), so all I'm looking for is a new appearance. I'm not a fan of the standard CMS based look'n'feel (three hard rectangular columns with loads of crap you don't care about in the two side columns)

The site should have top-level navigation consisting of Home, Software, Academics, Fotos, Forums, and Links. There should be some place for secondary-level navigation (like for the different programs in the Software section, for example).

What I'd like to see is a rough mockup that gives an idea of your vision. If I like the rough mockup, and you're willing, I'll ask you for a more polished mockup, and if I like that, you get the cash and I get your .psd. If you don't want to do a mockup, it'd be good to see some sites or digital art you've done in the past.

Just to give you an idea, here are a few common pages that I like the look and design of:

Oh yeah, and also - there's no specific deadline. I'm not in any huge rush - I've needed to do this for like three years.
