I have seen some cool looking iTunes Bar skins in some of the desktop pics in the forums and was wondering if there was a place to download some?

I've been trying to find a way to get it to extend all the way across the bottom of the screen like in a lot of desktop shots, but can't. Is it built into the widget or is it a different skin?

You can pull it from the little drag "handle" on the right end to make it longer, though I've found it's hard to grab it using any of the transparent skins.
I've also been wondering if there's any good skins around, I'm too lazy/busy to mod or make my own.

If you mouse over the bar the pointer will turn into a hand shape, then you can drag the right side of the bar to shorten or lengthen it. Its sometimes tricky to get the pointer in the right place without just moving the whole bar.

NetworkShadow beat me to it on the reply
He's right that some of the skins are hard to grab onto and drag sometimes.

are you talking about the three vertical dots on the right edge of the skin? Whenever I try to grab those and move, it just moves the whole bar, doesn't stretch it.

The dots at the end are the ones that dot that. Try a different skin to resize the bar if it's not doing it with the one you're using, then just switch back to the skin you like after it's the right size.

Dude, we KNOW it is a Widget. It is called iTunes Bar. What we are talking about is where to get more skins for it, and how to go about the fiddly task of stretching it.
Firstly, I suspect a lot of people have made their own skins for it. I started doing a couple, but I have so many things going at once I lose track or lose interest in small things like that. Perhaps you could eMail the author though? He might have a website with some on or something. Secondly, the guys are right, there are three dots on the far right edge of the widget that are used to resize it. They're only a pixel or so wide, so you have to be REALLY accurate with your mousing. It really can be very fiddly.

Okay, so I've tried and tried and tried to resize it. I even used the universal access zoom feature to get right down to it to make sure I was grabbing the right thing, but anytime I click it it just highlights the bar with a black box around it and lets me drag. Tried modifier keys and everything, but no stretch. Tried three or four different skins even, and nothing. Oh, and I'm using 2.1.9, the latest version posted on the widget gallery.
God, this is unbelievably aggravating.

For some reason, (like spatial anomalies, alien time warps, too much drinking, etc) sometimes the only way I can expand the bar over is to first shrink it. Bare with me here, not sure why or if its my imagination but I'll grab the right side by the dots (yes its very tricky getting the sweet spot there) and have to drag to the left to shrink it, not let go and then drag it to the right to expand. Its either that or the Margarita's making me believe thats the case. See if that in some weird way helps.

That's so weird. I just did it just now and it's fine. Same version of the Widget and everything.
This is what happens:
The cursor moves over the three dots and becomes a glove.
When clicked, a dark grey line outlines the widget.
When dragged left and right, the outline shows what the new size will be.
When the mouse button is released, the Widget reloads, in the desired size.
That's all. I can't see what there is to go wrong. You're not expecting it to resize in real time are you? It has a complex array of elements so has to resize as described above. I assume you would have realized by now if that was the case.
The only thing I can suggest if it really won't work is to delve into the .kon file and tell the little bugger what size to be by default. Again, I imagine you would have done this by now if you knew how to.

Righto. Tried that, didn't work. I even just tried deleting the associated preference files, widget, and skins folder, downloading a fresh version, and reinstalling the widget. Still just shows the outline, then drags the whole widget. Guess I'll just live with it as is...
