I changed out some tiffs in the bluetooth menu and I noticed this morning that the battery/power status is missing. In the preferences it is checked to display it in the menu and even after I replaced the tiffs back to the original for bluetooth, it still isn't showing up? Any ideas? Thanks.

Nothing happens. It flashes but doesn't load at the top or anything.

repair permissions (chances are things got weird when you changed the .tiffs), log out and
then click on the battery.menu

or go in the energy saver pane and do it that way.

hope that helps.

Okay I tried that and nothing worked. ....however, I remember that I was going to do a mod to the battery.menu contents and dragged it to the desktop to copy it there in case I needed a backup. I never did any mods to the contents but I am wondering if somehow dragging it to the desktop deleted some files in teh contents? What is supposed to be in battery.menu? All I have is contents/resources and a bunch of tiffs are in resources. Is that all or should there be something else in there? Thanks again.

BTW: If I check the box in energy saver to show the battery, it doesn't pop up on teh menubar and when I close out of SP and open it back up it is unchecked again.

are you trying to open it up from the desktop? or did you put it back in the system folder?

if you have aim, i can send you mine. {me=meatyh}

edit- this is what i have in my resources folder <13 items>:

you may have mot .lproj folders, i run delocalizer religiously.

does anyone know which cache or pref file would correspond to menu extras?
