Im not sure if what I want to change is called the splash screen. Im talking about the small image that pops up while the apps are opening. I wanted to change them with photoshop but I don't know where to find the images to edit. I tried ctrl clicking the apps themselves but didn't get the option to show package contents.

Any help pplease.

You'll have to dig through the images resources of an app using Resorcerer or another resource editor. Copy and paste into photoshop, and Yay.

That's what I use... It's not free though. There are free alternatives, but I can't recall the names...

Ok well I managed to find the demo for resorcerer. I found the splash screen I wanted to edit, but I'm not sure how to extract it to edit in photoshop.

Double click it, a window should open up. Copy it. Paste it into Photoshop. Edit. Copy from Photoshop. Paste into Resorcerer. Save. Launch whatever program it is.
