ok, i'm gonna drop my question here aswell. what are glyphs? are these the little icons/pix branded on folders to see if their ment for music, etc? i've always had a problem with this word since i'm not a native english tongue...

Yes, you are correct in your understanding of the word.
the little symbols that are used on folders to describe what is in them.
I'm not sure that glyph is a commonly used word as such...
the nearest common use in english would be hieroglyphics.

glyphs is - afaik - the correct term. i remember reading it at Apple's "Human Interface Guidelines for Icons" aswell. thankx for clearing my doubts.
