Well as a few people know by now I am not one to leave well enough alone with my Mac.
I sometimes get bored and when that happens things get to happening. I always see these cool icons out there but being that I am not an icon artist and do not have the money to invest in such a hobby, I do what I can to customize my Mac. What I do is replace the applications icons with my own mixed icons. What do you mean mixed icons? Well I take an icon, maybe system provided, maybe the hard work of some icon artist out there, and I mix them up with some colored documents that I did and I get my very own look to my programs. Some might have see this in anther forum such as the VLC replacement set...

VLC...

and the last that I have posted here before

BitTorrent...

I am thinking about giving FontBook a kick in the rear next but who knows?

Now as I have stated before and will state again, I did not make the icons featured here. I have just mixed them up a bit. Thats the purpose of the thread I started here. I would like to give praise to each individual icon maker that I have used here but I have lost track of all the readme's that went with them and mean no disrespect by not mentioing them here. I will however take a moment to say thank you to all thoise hard working icon artists out there and say that you make my computing experience more enjoyable.

So my question to everyone out here is, have you done something like this? If you have lets see it!
Peace.

I'm not really keen on how the file icons for most things are just the programs icon in the middle of a document. I think some of the better file icons make the icon look like it actually represents (e.g words file icon is an essay) Also does the colour coding mean anything?

I would like to, and I can now that I think about it release a few of them, Font Book, iTunes, Shape Shifter, mPlayer.... as they all are just the application icon imposed over a colored document. But the others are not the application icons and theefore I wuld need the artists permission to do so. And I cannot remember all of who made what and even after trying to search for the artist I have come up with zip. If anyone is that interested in helping me out find the original artists. let me know. As for the others mentioned above. Maybe soon.
Peace.

Nah, wish I had some great master scheme in it but it was random selection to make the icons not so white.
Peace.
